The first component of the "Secondary Education" activity concerns the development of an Integrated Secondary Education Improvement Model (MIAES) to improve the efficiency and performance of secondary schools, using the lever of the "Integrated School Project" (IEP), as a tool developed in a participatory manner and aimed at improving learning and school results. This model will be deployed in nearly 100 secondary schools in three regions of the Kingdom: Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma, Fès-Meknès and Marrakech-Safi. Each target school will receive, within the framework of a contractual approach, integrated support which will focus on strengthening its administrative and financial autonomy, promoting student-centred pedagogy and improving the physical learning environment through adequate rehabilitation of school infrastructures and the provision of equipment necessary for pedagogical innovation. Capacity-building of the regional education and training academies (AREF) and the provincial directorates concerned is also planned to ensure better steering and coordination of the implementation of the "secondary education" activity.
